Favorite books

For some reason I have been stuck on, "The Great Gatsby"! I think its an awesome book with many undertones but, I keep going back to how Jay Gatsby would hold these huge parties hoping that Daisy would appear. But the way he threw these parties were off the chain sorry Jay-Z, Jay Gatz trumped you on this.

"What he is known for is hosting outrageously luxurious parties, where hundreds of people show up each weekend. Although many of the guests are uninvited, Nick soon receives a rather formal request from one of Gatsby's butlers and finds himself embroiled in the party scene, although he claims to despise mindless entertainment."

Now that's Big Pimpin'! Any time you throw a party..no..no...no..a luxurious party, let alone every night, and you have random guest showing up and they don't even know what you do or who you are! Hell, they just want to be in your presence; that's Big Pimpin'!

Alexandre Dumas was famous for two books, "The Three Musketeers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo". Now I'm going to be lazy and rip the theme of the book from Wikipedia again.
"The story takes place in France, Italy, islands in the Mediterranean and the Levant during the historical events of 18151838 (from just before the Hundred Days through the reign of Louis-Philippe of France). The historical setting is a fundamental element of the book. It is primarily concerned with themes of hope, justice, vengeance, mercy, forgiveness and death, and is told in the style of an adventure story."

If you have time and you are tired of reading the everyday magazines and watching television then check out this book. Now, I going to warn you that it is a long book. its not a day read and to really enjoy it and take in its themes I suggest that you take you time.

There are many books that I hold dear and often return to for inspiration and guidance but I'll write later on that.
